While Angelina Jolie has been talking about her “smiley” new twins with boyfriend Brad Pitt, Pitt’s ex-wife has been opening up about her past with Pitt and her future with musician John Mayer.
The Past with Brad Pitt
In an interview with Vogue magazine, Aniston started to open up about the painful past and why Angelina Jolie needed to be more tight-lipped when it came to her budding romance with Pitt.
Pitt and Jolie met while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith when Pitt was still married to Aniston. Jolie recently told the New York Times that she’s excited her kids get to see the movie their parents fell in love while making. However, both Pitt and Jolie have been very adamant about not having any sort of relationship while Pitt was still married.
Aniston told Vogue Jolie had made comments to the same magazine a year earlier about how the two fell in love on set. “There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” Aniston said of Jolie’s comments.
“I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. ... That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool,” Aniston said.
Although Aniston may have coined Jolie’s behavior as “uncool”, she had nothing but nice things to say about Pitt . "The marriage didn't work out," Aniston told Vogue. "Pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other...ever since we've been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other."
She told Oprah WInfrey during a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show that Pitt is doing great, having done amazing things the past few years.
Future with Love John Mayer
Aniston has also started talking about on-again off-again relationship with musician John Mayer. The relationship started after they met at an Oscar’s after-party in 2007. Aniston has recently been adamant about the fact that her relationship may not look “right” on the outside but she tells People magazine, “we adore one another.”
Mayer reiterates her statement telling the magazine that Aniston “knows him.” “It’s really nice to have somebody in life have your back,” Mayer tells People. “That girl knows me.”
Aniston wants the viewing public to “mind their own business” when it comes to her relationship and stop labeling her as a lonely, unlucky victim in love. “I’ve been unbelievably lucky in love,” Aniston says.
